There are a few different ways to purchase your Discover Pass. You can buy it online, by phone or in-person. When you purchase the Discover Pass online, by phone or in-person at retailers throughout the state, you may pay transaction and dealer fees in addition to the price of the pass.

Buy a pass online

There are several online options to purchase a Discover Pass.

Purchase your Discover Pass online from discoverpass.wa.gov.

Buy a pass when you renew your vehicle license

When you renew your vehicle license, there’s an option to purchase a Discover Pass through the Department of Licensing.

Buy a pass in person

We have several options to purchase your Discover Pass in person.

Purchase at nearly 600 recreational fishing and hunting license vendors across the state. Visit the WDFW’s website to search for locations that sell Discover Passes.

Purchase at Washington State Park’s headquarters or make an appointment at the Northwest Region Office by calling (360) 755-9231.

• Annual pass available.
• Receive pass immediately.
• No transaction fees.

Purchase at a state park from staff when available or from an automated pay station in select parks.

• One-day and annual passes available.
• Receive pass immediately as a paper receipt from machine.
• No transaction fees.

Purchase from select retail locations around the state. Call the business and verify before heading out, sometimes vendors sell out of passes or discontinue selling them.

Buy a pass by phone

You can purchase a pass by calling (866) 320-9933. Your pass will arrive within seven to 10 business days and you’ll be given information at the time of purchase on how to use your pass before it comes in the mail.

Try before you buy

We know that every dollar matters and we want to make sure you love recreating on state lands before you commit to the cost of a year-long pass. If you buy a day pass for $10 and love your day outdoors, you can upgrade to an annual pass for an additional $35.

Bring your day pass to any state park or state park’s headquarters for an upgrade to an annual pass. Expiration date of the annual pass will be based on the purchase date of the day pass. This upgrade cannot be used with a day pass purchased via fee envelope at the park.
